Come ready to dance, dance, dance with DJ Salamander and steelpan musician Josanne Francis. Move with the vibrant beats of the Afro-Caribbean with an evening of music, dance, and shopping at Dupont Underground!

We'll kick things off with two exclusive sets from DJ Salamander (Sal Ashley). Co-founder/producer of Impulse Collective, DJ Salamander regularly appears around the DMV and spins an urban and Latin infused heavy house vibe.

Then enjoy the headliner performance by Josanne Francis, the first steelpan concerto soloist in the history of Carnegie Hall. Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, her music delivers that special extra that separates her from even the greats with a blend influenced by traditional calypso, jazz, funk, rock, and classical music.

Don't miss exploring the pop-up Afro-Caribbean market, featuring local artisans and small businesses from the Carlos Rosario Int'l Public Charter School’s renowned small biz program.
