21 and over
Get cherry-colored drunk to the Noise Made By People and dance to Cocteau Twins, Broadcast, and much more female-fronted experimental pop spun by DJs Paige Emery and Olive Midori Kimoto.
Before the dancing begins, there will be a screening of
Peter Strickland's psychological thriller Berberian Sound Studio, the soundtrack of which Broadcast was working on when Trish Keenan passed away and was completed by James Cargil as their last album.
It's a very Broadcast kind of film: set in the early 70s, depicting a Dorking sound engineer's descent into madness when he stops working on natural history documentaries and starts on an Italian giallo horror film, it's packed with shots of vintage electronic and recording equipment, obsessed with the evocative, sinister effects of sound.
Movie Screening - 8pm
DJs - 10pm
