The 18th Street Singers present “Soundscapes," an exploration of the relationship between space and sound in choral music. Using canons and rounds, works written for multiple choirs and voices, and the acoustics of different venues, “Soundscapes” considers how the spaces and shapes in which music is made change how we listen.
We are especially proud to present the world premiere of Shavon Lloyd's "So Breaks the Sun," the winner of the Singers' 2018 choral composition competition.
Join us Saturday night, June 16th, for an exciting evening of visual art, beer and wine, and casual listening at the Dupont Underground.
