On Saturday June 23, be transported to the 1890s at Dupont Underground with cocktails and Picnic Theatre Company’s one-act performance of Oscar Wilde’s wildly entertaining comedy “The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People”. This social satire features two carefree bachelors, each with a carefully hidden double life that quickly unravels. Silliness ensues with jealous fiancées, whimsical ingénues, scheming society matrons, and the most famous handbag in theatre history.
