Afro/Solo/Man (work-in-progress) is a multi-disciplinary meditation on the identities of Black men in relation to ideas of origins, nourishment, heritage, nature, sexuality, and technology in the 21st century. It is a bio-mythography that uses multimedia, dance, and storytelling to engage the audience in the personal journeys of two men who question and investigate memory, life, death, and the connection to their ancestors. These are not stories of Black men that we think we know. Brother(hood) Dance! challenges assumptions, provokes rethinking, and takes on all of our demons around race, gender, sexuality and “brotherhood.”
