3:00 PM (ends at 5:00 PM)
This workshop will assist participants in creating what Perry refers to as "embodied practices" that involve utilizing the power and comfort of darkness, eclipse, and retreat as modalities for healing. Participants will engage in dialogue and creative exercises which will allow us to construct knowledge together the ways we have used what others may have considered to be "dark" - taboo, quiet, hidden, obscured, powerful - in ways that have healed us, our families, and our communities. Participants will explore using themes of "darkness" to co-curate new rituals for the body, the physical space they inhabit, affirmations for their mental / spiritual space, etc. Through dialogue, creative exercise, and spontaneous learning, both participants and facilitator will join to create new knowledge - knowledge & ritual that comes up, as we need it, and how we need it.
