Weekenders, Bo White, The Monterreys, DJ Zach Reader, The Cocker Spaniels

WEEKENDERS is a rock'n'roll group hailing from CHARLOTTE, NC. Formed in 2009 by Pete Hurdle and Preston Drum, they play a brand of proto garage pop that is fueled by the desire to have fun and make people dance. Jeff Klumpp joined the outfit, first as an enigmatic dancing "greenman" and then later in 2010 as the bass player. Pete Hurdle plays guitar and sings. Preston Drum has assumed the position of his namesake behind the drum kit, while occasionally singing lead. The trio shares the duty of songwriting.

Bo White

Bo White's made strange music in several different bands: He's led the late noise rockers Calabi Yau and bolstered Afrobeat-happy Black Congo NC, supported posi-poppers Yardwork and anchored the vibes-and-jazz-guitar Duo Select.

The Monterreys

Mutating through black matter and the vortex of time, Monterreys will sweep you into their sonic spectrum of sound, and transform you forward into the past, or onward, to another galaxy. The reverb drenched, 6-string mayhem, is courtesy of Johnny "Rocket" Stewart, and the driving, raucous rhythm of Jason Dickey, is matched, in fury, by crazed bassist Leon Daniel, to form a wall of virgin and vintage voodoo to create HEAVY SURF.

The Cocker Spaniels

Semi-autobiographical genre-free DIY pop by musical autodidact/polymath Sean Padilla.
