TT The Artist
Tt The Artist is a multi-faceted performer whose vibrant, party-starting blend of hip hop, pop, club and electronic music is painting a new spectrum of colors in the music scene.
2014 will see the release several EPs and singles with collaborators Blaqstarr, Brenmar, Branko, Rod Lee, Schwarz, Mighty Mark, Thunderbird, Juice Boxx and more, and she continues to rock the crowds with high energy performances alongside artists such as Angel Haze and Big Freedia.
You may also know Tt from her vocals on Diplo's "Dat A Freak", as host of CW networks "Keepin It Real Tv", as co-producer of the Baltimore based radio show "Off The Edge Radio", or opening for high profile hip hop acts such as Oj Da Juice Man, Rich Boy, Cali Swag District, Trina, Teyana Taylor and Yo Gotti to Dan Deacon and Phantogram.
Every now and then there is a happening that signals a shift in American culture. With a style that is as abrasive as it is welcoming, Emmanuel 'DDm' Moss is one of the most idiosyncratic voices on the burgeoning Baltimore City rap scene.
Born in the Park Heights section of the city's west side, as a child DDm was introduced to hip hop while watching a Lil' Kim music video. After a car accident halted his studies in ballet and jazz dance as a teenager, he started rapping as a hobby while in recovery. Soon after, he began entering and winning local talent and rap battle competitions. Establishing himself as a premiere emcee on the underground circuit.
In 2010, footage of a battle featuring DDm defeating another emcee using witty sexual innuendo went viral, sparking national debate on hip hop's relationship with the LGBT community. Playing shows across the United States and Canada to rave reviews, he has been featured in various publications such as Spin, Complex, Ebony and ThisIs50.com. DDm's singles 'Cold' and 'Killer Queen', have received spins on regional and college radio attracting indie and major label attention alike.
Indie-electronic outfit from Pittsburgh, PA. Frontman Harrison Wargo wrote, performed, produced, mixed, and mastered their debut EP "JSMN" over the course of a year, and in turn developed their innovative sound, which he calls "Northern Pop". The band's name comes from the box where you keep your "bad things", both metaphorically and literally, perfectly suited to their songs' ethereal imagery and themes of dark, musing innocence.
Jónó Mí Ló
Jónó Mí Ló is an experimental musician, artist, micro-blogger and video producer who works mainly in the underground internet music scene, whose become some what of a pioneer in what is now known as the internet genre "Vaporwave". Words that come to mind, in no particular order, include psychedelic, digital, ’80s, and surreal; Mí Ló creates work that explores absurdism, sexuality, darkness, and internet culture, with an uncompromising attitude towards conceptual and minimal art.
