The Tontons

When a band’s name is inspired by Star Wars you just don’t expect the group behind it to be The Tontons – they’re far too ‘cool’ for that. The Houston, TX rising kings (and queen) of indie rock are out to prove they can be both – creators of music that both pop fans and hipsters adore, and also loyal friends who truly love making music together and never shy away from experiences and vulnerabilities that shaped their beginnings. A culmination of years on the road, The Tontons are proud to release their forthcoming LP, Make Out King and Other Stories of Love on February 18th. The new album was produced and mixed by Dave Boyle (Black Joe Lewis, Okkervil River, Robert Plant) at Austin’s ChurchHouse Studios and features 11-tracks of Asli Omar’s old-soul vocals that heave the band’s lyrics forward with empowering, sultry and emotional force. Flanking her is bassist Tom Nguyen, armed with a nimble rumble that forms the sturdy dermis of the band. Brothers Adam and Justin Martinez's titanic guitar-and-drum attack are the dance-ready glue. Omar's voice seems to melt like butter into the cracks of the Earth that the foursome create.

Eyes on the Shore

San Francisco/Oakland quintet Eyes on the Shore is comprised of Cory Tauber, Kayhan Golkar, Antrom Kury, Kevin McCann & Erik Huang. The music is a blend of guitars, drums, washed out effects, harmonies, and electronic beats. Dipping into psychedelic rock, chill wave, and tropical grooves, the band's sonic signature has a floating, ethereal feel. Eyes on the Shore just released their 2016 EP “Maestranza”. The first single “Washed Away” was recently featured on the front page of and got the group some international recognition on YouTube and Spotify.

Fever Charm

Move over One Direction, there’s a new group of boys in town, and they’re not just young and hot, with vocals that’ll make any teenage girl’s heart melt, they actually play instruments, really, really well. Consisting of four all-American California teenagers, who spend their off-time hanging out at the beach, surfing, skating, flirting with girls and just having fun, not necessarily in that order, Fever Charm’s upcoming breakout album West Coast Rock and Roll displays a talent and style beyond their years. Mixing old-school rock, pop-punk and the laid back ease of bumming around on the beach, these boys offer something truly unique that wasn’t manufactured backstage at a vocal competition.
