Give to the Max Day Happy Hour with Ballet of the Dolls

Join Ballet of the Dolls for a happy hour in the Ritz Theater lobby from 4-6PM on November 14, 2013 to celebrate Give to the Max Day!

From Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to increase giving to nonprofit organizations across the state and move more giving online. It is a day for Minnesotans to come together to raise as much money as possible for nonprofits and schools in 24 hours – starting at midnight on November 14, 2013 through midnight on November 15, 2013. By engaging as many donors as possible to give to their favorite Minnesota charities in one day – Give to the Max Day — is showcasing Minnesota’s unparalleled generosity to the world! During last year's Give to the Max Day, $16.3 million was raised to benefit Minnesota nonprofit organizations and schools. And, a record 53,339 donors logged on to to donate to their favorite Minnesota charity. In 2013, we will help thousands of nonprofits and schools raise millions of dollars again!

About Ballet of the Dolls: Founded in 1986 by visionary choreographer Myron Johnson, Ballet of the Dolls has been resident company of, and has programmed, the Ritz Theater since 2006. Johnson drove efforts to reclaim that historic space, deeply believing that artists flourish when they have a reliable place to work. Today that belief embraces a thriving arts community presented by the Dolls at the Ritz.

From the sublime to the not-so, Ballet of the Dolls challenges artists and audiences alike to stretch our perceptions of what makes good dance, and to open our world-view-lens through the artistic process.

Every donation made to Ballet of the Dolls helps us move this mission forward. And on Give to the Max Day, we can make a party of it! Join us in the Ritz Theater lobby to meet the Dolls and Directors that make this all happen as well as mingle with the good people of Northeast Minneapolis.

We hope to see you there!

Myron Johnson and The Dolls know how to work your contribution to the max. You’ve seen the skill and artistry every Doll brings to the stage, and they weave their spell behind the scenes as well – creating costumes personally to best convey the essence of the dance, designing make-up that only belongs on a Doll, bringing their collective spirit of creation to our distinctive choreography, and spinning gold from the resources at hand. Your generosity has gotten us where we are today and now, in our 28th season, your contribution goes even farther. You’ll be helping the Dolls present some of the Twin Cities’ most exciting artists, woven around our centerpiece performances. A bold new step for us, this really puts our vision into action… a vision that encourages artists to grow, and that gives audiences a rich and diverse arts season. All contributions made to Ballet of the Dolls are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
