Alex Ridha (aka Boys Noize) was first known for his influential work as a producer and remixer for Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Santigold, Scissor Sisters and Feist. Voted by Rolling Stone as one of the top 10 "DJs Who Rule The Earth," in 2012, Boys Noize has since toured the world, released three full-length albums and has collaborated with artists like Snoop Dogg, Skrillex, and Erol Alkan. "I don´t compromise when it comes to music," says Ridha. "I do what I think is cool and what I like and not what the market wants or people may expect. Maintaining artistic freedom has always been the most important thing to me; for my own music and for anyone on my label."
Known internationally as a curator amongst the world's most cutting edge DJs, producers, and musical movements Wesley Pentz (better known as DIPLO) has experienced a variety of successes. The last few years have been spent running through the club circuit and having chart-topping hits with refreshing irreverence. Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, in 1978, Pentz spent most his childhood in Florida working in his fathers bait shop and being turned onto music through then new mediums like MTV. Drifting North through the state came Miami Bass and from the West came the sounds of Southern hip-hop artists. The musical influence and variety coalesced, and at 18, Pentz moved to Philadelphia for college at Temple University to study Film & Music. While a student he took a job in the South Philadephia community as a social worker and created the influential Hollertronix club night, which was the beginning of his fledgling career as DIPLO.
In 2004 Pentz released his debut album as Diplo called, Florida. It received praise and accolades in the underground community. The music embodied on this album led to an introduction via an A&R man at XL Records to M.I.A. In 2004 he partnered with M.I.A. for the mixtape Piracy Funds Terrorism. Pentz's cultural impact had started to snowball. Together they worked on her first album Arular and much of her second Kala, including the 2008 mega-hit "Paper Planes," which reached No. 3 in the US Charts and earned him a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year. His production credits have evolved since to include Santigold, Lil' Jon and Missy Elliot, while remixing works by Beck, Radiohead, Britney Spears and countless others. In 2009 Pentz teamed with frequent collaborator Dave Taylor (aka Switch) to release the futuristic dancehall album Guns Don't Kill People… Lazers Do under the guise of Major Lazer, a Jamaican militant at war with an evil army of zombies, mummies and vampires.
Meanwhile, his record label Mad Decent has helped to introduce Brazilian baile funk, Angolan Kuduro and other marginalized music to clubs around the world, developing as a trendsetting force with which to be reckoned. With the same mission in mind, some of the varied acts Pentz has signed or produced include Rye Rye, Bonde do Role, Crookers, Blaqstarr, Boy 8-Bit, Buraka Som Systema, and Rusko, allowing Mad Decent to act as a launching pad or home base for many others while spreading its influence across the globe. Through the label, Pentz has founded a charity called Heaps Decent as a social relief program to help children in Australia as well as with additional efforts internationally. In early 2009 Pentz debuted his film Favela on Blast, a five-years-in-the-making documentary exploring the Brazilian slum favelas of Rio de Janeiro and the thriving baile funk music scene that exists within. He is currently developing a TV show.
Through a widespread assortment of releases and artists' works – from cumbia to dubstep to punk and beyond – Diplo has shown dynamic range with interests that span far beyond any singular culture or musical realm, standing as a working model for the truly 21st Century artist.
Laidback Luke Biography, June 2010
In 2010 Dutch dynamo Laidback Luke is so supercharged and all over your body that it hurts. Blasting your bassbins with blockbuster beats, making your heads spin with his hybrid house styles, even cramping up your hands as you scroll down his discography! Recently, he's worked with David Guetta, Diplo, A-Trak, Steve Aoki and Lil Jon, and remixed everyone from Black Eyed Peas to Calvin Harris and from Christina Aquilera to Moby. There have been three nominations for Luke in the Beatport Music Awards – and an International Dance Music Award (IDMA) gong in the Best House/Garage Track category for his work on 'Leave The World Behind'. He's sold out his own brand Super You&Me parties at Miami WMC. Plus, he's invited to join Cream for some Super You&Me events at Amnesia in Ibiza. All this while kick-starting a compilation series, with Laidback Luke presents Super You&Me featuring Avicii, via his own label, Mixmash Records, and still finding time to give the next generation of music makers a leg-up through his forum, at www.laidbackluke.com. He's got over 30,000 followers on Twitter, is sent 12GB+ of promos every week, and boards more than 160 flights per year – without breaking a sweat. Sure his name is Laidback, however when the music's jumping he's anything but…
Born in the Philippines, raised in the Netherlands, as a kid Luke loved guitars, graffiti, house and hip-hop, taking the 'laid back' tag from Snoop Dogg's 'Gin & Juice'. He had a mentor in Dobre (Chocolate Puma) and by 1996 was releasing tracks, remixing for established artists and DJing professionally. He even beat a Dutch DMC champ in battle. His first album came in 1999, and when Virgin locked down 'Rocking With The Best', then released his 2002 album, Electronic Satisfaction, his profile really soared. Following this he remixed the likes of Daft Punk, Murk, Oliver Lieb and Tom Stephan, introduced his own label, Mixmash, and went on to hook up with Steve Angello to remix 'Sexy F**k' and co-produce 'Otherwize Then'. He also joined forces with the Swedish House Mafia on 'Get Dumb' and signed tracks to Angello's Size, while 'Rocking With The Best 2007' blew up on Mixmash. Around this time his superhero-themed residency – Super You&Me – took off at Amsterdam club Paradiso. It was followed by another epic 12 months that saw Luke release five tracks and 18 remixes, ignite the Stealth Live! CD series with a near perfect club mix, host a weekly show on Radio FG, and perform almost 200 international DJ sets – including a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. It was also the year that witnessed him making a massive mark on Ibiza. After performing at all the top clubs, he produced/remixed every track on his Ibiza Closing Party mix for Mixmag and ended 2008 on another high: with 'Show Me Love' (by Luke and Steve Angello featuring Robin S), which entered both the Buzz and Cool Cuts Charts, and even reached # 11 in the UK's official singles chart. Moving into 2009, his collaboration with the Swedish House Mafia on 'Leave The World Behind' became an Essential New Tune on Pete Tong's Miami show and one of Beatport's best-selling tracks. His Super You&Me party during WMC was also a huge hit, starring Diplo and A-Trak. Consequently Luke and Diplo produced 'Hey', which was supported by DJs like Kissy Sell Out on Radio 1. Of course, Luke's remix skills continued to be in hot demand too, by, among others, David Guetta, Tiësto, Black Eyed Peas, Dizzee Rascal, Depeche Mode and MSTRKRFT. In fact, mash-ups like his remix of the Black Eyed Peas' 'I Got A Feeling' with La Roux's 'In For The Kill', his very own 'My G*O*D* (My Guns On Demo)' and Luke and Lee Mortimer's 'Blau!' blitzed the globe from Australia to Ibiza, where he was nominated for best House DJ at the DJ Awards. As a result, he landed a #27 slot in DJ magazine's Top 100 DJs Poll of 2009.
Performing and producing relentlessly and innovating musically as an artist like nobody else has propelled Luke and his superhuman fusion of hyperdrivehousestep&ghettojacktrancebass to stratospheric new heights over the last couple of years. In 2010, he's already remixed Wynter Gordon's 'Dirty Talk', as well as Ferry Corsten, Calvin Harris and Moby, and his own projects, like 'Till Tonight' feat. Jonathan Mendelsohn, and 'Turbulence' by Luke and Steve Aoki feat. Lil Jon, have gone global. So what more can the new decade bring for our r-evolutionary rebel? Well, with the crazy energy that he conveys and the martial arts that he practises, rest assured it will be out of this world. Yes, our fresh-faced superhero has good 'kung fu', always keeping an ear to the ground while his creativity rockets skyward. Luke, we salute you!

They sing; they make people dance; they were born outstandingly beautiful, fashion forward icons. They are on everyone who knows lips. So who exactly are NERVO??
NERVO are Mim and Liv Nervo. They emerged as hit songwriters; Kesha to Kylie; Guetta & Rowland; Pussycat Dolls and more. They've remixed Katy Perry, 30 Seconds to Mars, Cobra Starship, topping club and sales charts worldwide ('The Way We See The World' charted at number 1 in the Beatport electro charts). Since landing a deal with Virgin America/Astralwerks as artists, they have been working on their debut album - where they not only write, produce but will step into the spotlight and perform. They are also fast emerging as the most sought-after DJ duo in dance music. A feisty tag-team, best known so far for their songwriting collaboration with David Guetta on his Grammy winning smash hit "When Love Takes Over" (performed by Kelly Rowland) - but not for much longer. NERVO are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with on the club scene worldwide and are due to launch their first artist EP imminently. With William Morris Entertainment as their agency, these London based globe-trotting Australian-born twins are making serious waves on both shores of the Atlantic with their infectious blend of chunky, sexed-up electro-house. They embarked on their second bus-tour of USA in late June - supporting Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on the Femme Fatale arena shows, launched a Las Vegas residency with the Wynn Group and then they hit the uber-cool Identity run, with the hottest talent on the electronic scene.
In counter-contrast with their feminine image - NERVO's style is bold, sassy, with in-your-face beats that beckon a dance floor to its knees. The sound is loud, dirty, which has won them respect from the most serious music lovers. They rocked Lolopolooza, Tokyo, and Sydney opened for will.i.am in Ibiza, Afrojack and David Guetta, played alongside Pete Tong, Luciano, Sharam, Avicii - and dropped in on Richard Branson at Necker for a Halloween party with the Victoria Secrets models.
Debuting by being the first external artist to feature on the infamous mau5trap label, Feed Me's array of hard hitting electronica with a grin quickly caught the eyes and ears of listeners worldwide. The acclaimed 8 track 'Feed Me's Big Adventure' immediately took Beatport by storm with 6 tracks hitting the top 10, gathering fans throughout different genres.

hip-hop lean and sometimes a tropical vibe. It’s dirty, sexy and full of hype, and
it’s called GTA.

Producers without borders, their catalogue of sounds span the gamut without
limitations. They’ll experiment with trap music, house, moombahton, funky
electro, booty bass, salsa, big room, anything they can put their flavor on. With

get all the asses clapping, every time.
GTA’s future sound has them sought after some of the biggest names in the
dance music game. They’ve had releases on Diplo’s Mad Decent, Ladback Luke’s
Mixmash and A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold Records. They’ve remixed various artists from
all genres, including Michael Woods, Trinidad James, Deadmau5, Wolfgang
Gartner, Clockwork, Laidback Luke and A-Trak.
