Mr. Gold

Mr. Gold is a garage-punk band from Rock Hill, SC. In December of 2014, they released their debut e.p. entitled "Little King Trashmouth." It showcases the band in a raw energetic setting. Recorded as a two guitar/drums three piece, it has overtones of Mudhoney, Oblivians and New Bomb Turks. It was described by Chicago blog Why Pick On Me as a "testament to the art of rock n' roll garbage...the guitar tones really rip on this record echoing the reckless approach of early Ron Asheton."

It's a perfect compliment to their live shows: fuzzed out guitars, pounding drums and no-nonsense vocals. Charlotte's Crowd Surfer zine described them bringing "angsty songs with garage tones that will leave you feeling dirty and wanting more."

The band's now working on a follow-up full length and after adding a bass player and being a band for a few years they might not record this one all in one take...but don't think they're trying to escape the garbage heap; they're just adding more influences and nastiness to the pile.
