Matthew Crosby and Ryan Mackstaller

Singer-songwriter Matthew Crosby and guitarist Ryan Mackstaller began performing together as members of NYC-based rock band the Majorleans and later formed Easy Tells, releasing their first EP, “Got What You Paid For”, in 2012. As a duo, the two synthesize Crosby’s earthy, melodic songwriting and Mackstaller’s dynamic playing -- influenced by such experimental guitarists as Nels Cline and Pat Metheny -- into a lushly stripped-down sound somewhere between Jackson Browne and the Velvet Underground. Matthew and Ryan are currently at work on new projects, both with Easy Tells and independently.
