Beyond the Shore
Agoura Hills, CA - Janaury 22nd, 2013 - Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of up-and-coming metal act BEYOND THE SHORE. In 2008, the Lexington-Fayette, KY quintet formed when the members were still in high school. Relentlessly booking shows, touring and balancing school at the same time, BEYOND THE SHORE had the privilege of sharing the stage with acts such as: Born Of Osiris, Shai Hulud, MyChildren MyBride, Of Machines, After The Burial and many more. BEYOND THE SHORE has created quite a buzz in the short time they have been a band.
The band's first release, "The Arctic Front" EP (2009), was produced by Kelly Cairns and recorded at Lambesis Studios (As I Lay Dying, War Of Ages, Austrian Death Machine, Impending Doom) in San Marcos, California. The band's debut release helped to build an impressive internet buzz, starting with the release of the first single "Shotgun Sunrise." After playing several shows in support of the debut EP, BEYOND THE SHORE began work on their full-length, Ghostwatcher.
In 2012, BEYOND THE SHORE headed to Lowell, NC to record the their first full-length, which was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Kevin Newland of Newland Recordings. Ghostwatcher, the band's debut full-length, will be released on April 2nd, 2013. The first single, Half Lived, is available now on iTunes. Music, videos, and pre-orders are available now on metalblade.com/beyondtheshore.
BEYOND THE SHORE is:
Andrew Loucks - Vocals
Chris "The Lieutenant" Stinnett - Drums
Zach Hunter - Guitar
Jared Loucks - Guitar
Eli Masharbash - Bass
Emerging from the ashes of previous projects (Absolution, TaperedMind, Soles Dei, Them Lucky Bastards, Phantom In Chicago), the phoenix that is Digital Collapse has risen with veteran finesse in their self-titled debut EP, produced by Clint Lowery (Sevendust, Call Me No One, Dark New Day). The album showcases their knack for writing accessible music that's not overly reliant on catchy hooks, but on cold hard musicianship. The vocals (Corey Kipps) effortlessly volley between melodic ease and intense screams. Creative guitar lines (Ian Zuckerman, Tyler Metz) breathe a bright but gutsy energy, framed by gritty, crafty drumming (Tom Godin).
Digital Collapse is an alternative-metal band formed in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania, USA.
Lament; To express or feel sorrow for;
a song or poem expressing deep grief or mourning.
What better way to describe the music of this Colorado 3 piece.
The band that was formed in late 2004, has created quite a buzz in the Denver area.
Drummer/vocalist Daryl Crowell (right) brings a dynamic drum approach, along with
a gripping death vocal style to the groups music. Bassists Antwan Harvey (middle) adds
unique harmony's and solos with his 4 and 5 string basses. And guitarist Rodney Wess (left)
has come back to the metal scene after an almost 10 year hiatus.
The groups first appearance at the Ogden Theater Nov 27th, 04, allowed listeners to hear,
what may become one of Colorado's great metal acts.
The sound? Deep driving bass and drums. Silky, sensual vocals backed by raw guitars. Watching them on stage is a "who's doing what next" visual orgy. Paragon - mixing rock and reggae to provide a new perspective to head bangin', foot stomping, heart in your throat - this is what I want to hear music. The band generates from Geneva, IL. The musicians; Nate Emetti vocals/guitar, Kiel Tredrea guitar, Andy Felbab bass, Frank Suda drums play from their souls any venue no matter the crowd, passion and addiction satiates their need and ours to hear a pure genuine new sound. There is something familiar and comfortable, yet you stop to listen to something you swear you have never heard before. Paragon delivers and we want to hear more.
