Richard Patrick, an early touring member of Nine Inch Nails, met Brian Liesegang and the two began to record together under the name Filter.  Their debut album, Short Bus, released on Reprise in 1995, became a surprise hit thanks to the single “Hey Man, Nice Shot.” The album’s rough-around-the-edges production consisted of inebriated answering machine samples, lavish bass lines, and jagged guitars set to a backdrop of drum machines punctuated by the unfurling of Richard Patrick’s vocal prowess and signature roar.  By the end of the summer, the album had reached gold status.  Liesegang departed in 1997 over creative differences, but Patrick retained the Filter name for 1999’s Title of Record, which eventually went platinum and spawned another hit, “Take a Picture.”  The Amalgamut followed three years later, after which the band went on hiatus, returning in 2008 with Anthems for the Damned.  Since then, Filter has released three albums including their latest album released in June, “The Sun Comes Out Tonight”.

Open your mind to Mind Drop! Having topped the IAC Hard Rock Charts and Cashbox Magazine Charts with their singles “Situations” and “Monster”, Mind Drop is kicking ass and taking names.  Comprised of Shauna Lisse (Vocals), Adam Deases (Guitar), Jason Beck (Guitar), Chris Ruzic (Bass) and Dan Sissum (Drums), they can best be described as a mix of Nu Metal beat over the head by Old School Metal, but don’t think that means they don’t offer their own, unique mix to the hard rock/metal genre.  Mind Drop has shared the stage with bands such as Five Finger Death Punch, Oblige, Otep, Ninetail, Early Graves, Vanilla Ice, and more.  Be sure to come and check them out live!
