Heavyweight Dub Champion
"The Liberation Process is in Full Effect"
Firmly rooted in Hip Hop, Dancehall Dub and Electronic music, Heavyweight Dub Champion is a movement of interdimensional warriors representing the Army of the Last Champion. Guided by Last Champion Manifesto author Resurrector, HDC transcends space and time through a live 50+channel mix of deep revolutionary audio with support from a revolving crew of co-conspirators. At the collective's core is the universal intention of inspiration, mind expansion and transformation through creative expression and a methodology they call Sonic Shamanistic Alchemy - a unique combination of ancient divination practices, trance ritual and sonic vibration. This collective artistic performance - The Liberation Process - opens channels of communication and empowers the listener, enabling the Rise of the Champion Nation.
Founded by Resurrector and Patch in a log cabin, 9000 feet high in the mountains of Colorado and now based in San Francisco, HDC+ has stepped-up their outreach and are taking their message to the people. Their award winning debut album "Survival Guide For the End of Time" is a hard-hitting slab of revolutionary consciousness that continues to galvanize a growing legion of followers across the globe. Momentum is building and the US and European festival circuit has seen them deliver slamming performances at Reggae on the River, Furia, Eurockeennes, Fusion, Lightning in a Bottle, Reggae Rising, Earthdance, The Techno Tribal Dance, and many more… Their current album Rise of the Champion Nation, features three tracks with the legendary KRS-ONE, and includes contributions from Killah Priest (Wu-Tang Clan), Dr. Israel, Ganga Giri, Elf Tranzporter, Lady K, and many others. Heavyweight Dub Champion's mission is simple - The Unconditional Liberation of the Human Race.
"Heavyweight Dub Champion restores all hope" – KRS-ONE
"A shamanistic wall of hip-hop dubtronica that aims to topple the foundations of modern-day Babylon" – Westword Magazine
Ganga was born in Port Fairy, Australia. His musical journey began as a child when he started playing kit drums at age 8. Inspired by a dream, he followed his calling and began to play didjeridu the very next day. It has been a natural progression for Ganga to create a new contemporary sound by mixing funky rhythms through the didj – especially since the sound he was after wasn’t available on the market. Influenced by many varied genres, including East Indian Tabla and African percussion, he has married indigenous Australian and world music with fat funky dance beats, and has found an appreciative audience across the globe.
Ganga Giri has gained the respect of Aboriginal didgeridu (yidaki) players for his unique approach to didgeridu playing. Deeply inspired by the sacredness of Australia’s land and how that feeling can be expressed through the didjeridu, he has become an ambassador for his country, offering his world-wide audience a reflection of contemporary multicultural Australia.
Led by Resurrector of Heavyweight Dub Champion (HDC) and Sasha Rose, and officially sanctioned by representatives of the Shipibo Tribe, Liberation Movement (LM) is a new collaborative music project that pushes the boundaries of human experience. Each LM performance is a communal ritual that opens portals to the realm of spirits and invokes new levels of consciousness and healing.
Infused with recordings of 20 Shipibo Shamans made by Resurrector over the course of 30 traditional ceremonies in the Peruvian Amazon, Liberation Movement channels the healing power of the plant spirits' Ikaros (medicine songs) with the intention of removing the veils that separate us from the vibratory pulse of the Earth.
Drawing on powerful alchemical sound devices, such as analog synths, acoustic guitar, human voice, tape delays, analog filters and consensus-reality distortion units, the LM experience goes far beyond the limitations of laptop based performance. The live offering is a powerful transmutational synthesis of structure and improvisation—ancient and future.
Each Liberation Movement performance is a communal ritual that opens portals to the realm of spirits to invoke new levels of consciousness and healing.

"I'm not sure if there are words for what you pulled off at Alchemeyez... pretty much the most intense set I've ever heard... It was undeniably the best music I have heard to this day." - Jeremy Kaiser (sound engineer Alchemeyez Festival, co-producer at Photosynthesis Festival)
"Liberation Movement provided the most enlightening, inspiring, recharging journey of my entire Symbiosis experience. Wow. More of that please! Deep Respect!" - Vishnu Dass
"The cumulative artistry and musical experience of the members of Liberation Movement are broad and deep. With careful intention they fuse and morph over time taking you on a continuous musical thread through many sonic spaces that remind of the deeper hidden sources of sound itself." - Jamie Janover (Sonic Bloom/Master Musician)
"Somewhere in the sonic vault called Liberation Movement is an arcane, other wordly source of sound that speaks the language of dub, bekons intrigue, resonates the mystic and shakes the dancefloor!" - Martin Dragonfly (DJ/Promoter, Earthdance, Groove Garden)
"A powerful and beautiful voyage into the currents of ancient energy, alchemical resonances and shamanistic harmonics. This music en-tranced me while allowing me to feel sensual and connected. A supreme example of electronic music balancing the future with the timeless wisdom of our great animistic lineage." - Stephen Kaminanda (DJ/Producer) - label?)
