Whiskey Blanket

Whiskey Blanket is perhaps the world's most unconventional hip-hop group. The multi-talented trio integrates live violin, cello, and turn-tablism into haunting beat-scapes, only to drop their instruments and double as emcees. Add in a drum machine, harmonica, keyboard, some slick three piece suites, and a decade of shared experience, and you've got a show that's not to be missed. Incorporating musical influence that spans from Brazil to Japan and everywhere in between, the group’s four independent studio releases have garnered world-wide attention while never neglecting the rich musical heritage of their own back yard. Listeners find themselves drawn to the Blanket's unique and refreshing sounds, often unable to categorize what they're hearing. Whiskey Blanket believes that laptops are better for coffee shops than for live performances, so they're dedicated to creating a music experience that's energetic, engaging, and most importantly just that – musical. Buy their recordings and catch them live to support real musicianship while it still exists.

Drop Switch

Drop Switch is a modern sound hailing from Denver, Colorado. This 6-piece group plays a blend of hip-hop, rock and jazz. Denver Westword had this to say about their sound: "The group really shines because they are just that -- a group, and no single person is elevated above the product."

Drop Switch formed in December of 2011, since then they have shared the stage with a number of national artists. Asher Roth, Kids These Days, Eligh (of Living Legends) Aer, Logic, Tayyib Ali, Air Dubai and Chuck Inglish just to name a few. After gaining some momentum in Denver, they were invited to play at the 2012 Find Your Way Festival. FYW featured other artists such as Brother Ali, Hieroglyphics, Grieves, The Reminders, The Wailers and more.

The Quick & Easy Boys

The Quick & Easy Boys, a power-trio out of Portland, Oregon, create their own blend of rock and roll. Imagine the Minutemen, Band of Gypsies and the Police rolled into one.

Formed in 2005, The Quick & Easy Boys quickly made a name for themselves in Eugene, Oregon before heading north and building a Portland, OR fanbase. Their shows are an interactive party with electrifying stage antics and profound musical moments as the trio pours out every ounce of their energy, leaving nothing behind. The band has gained the reputation for moving a crowd all-night long whether it be a big festival or a tiny watering hole. The core members – - Jimmy Russell on guitar, Sean Badders on bass, and Michael Goetz on drums – - have continued to evolve musically…and audiences continue their enthusiastic calling of “Yeah Bud!” at every show.

In 2008, they released Bad Decisions With Good People which left people raving about their unique and vibrant sound, and in September of 2009, they sojourned out on their first United States tour. Three more national tours followed the release of their 2nd album Red Light Rabbit in 2010, and the band is gearing up to release and tour behind their upcoming album, Make It Easy in 2013. They’ve opened both locally and nationally for Deer Tick, The Meat Puppets, Blitzen Trapper, The Thermals, J. Roddy Walston and the Buisness, Wooden Birds, Orgone, The Pimps of Joytime, Juno What?!, Southern Culture on the Skids, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, The Bridge, Iglu & Hartly, Bob Wayne & the Outlaw Carnies, Vince Herman, and more.

BigWheel Electrosoul

Bigwheel Electrosoul is a project created by djcheckone of futurejazzproject. The band is made up of members in the local community and is under the direction of djcheckone. The sound is half electronic half live and frequently uses some of Colorado’s top musicians, singers and MC’s. Some of the regular musicians you might expect to see out on the gig are Dominic Lalli, Jared Silo, Charlie Mertants, Mark Donavan, Venus Cruz, Dent and Garrett Sayers. At times Bigwheel has acted as a house band for national acts such as Bahamadia, Camplo, Eric Roberson, Phat Kat, etc. Each artist is very seasoned nationally/internationally and has shared stages with most of their idols and beyond.

Bigwheel stems from improvisation and becomes what it is. A song typically starts off with guidelines that come from the MPC or Ableton Live and, depending on the instrumentation, artists put their own unique stamp on the moment.

Guided ambiguous live music.
