Turning Violet Violet

Turning Violet Violet

Turning Violet Violet has graduated from an emerging pop rock outfit into a fixture in the Philadelphia indie music scene. Their 2012 release, Double Cure, received rave reviews and even landed them the title of "Indie Pop Rock Band of the Year" from Tri-State Indie. Combining haunting strings, thick harmonies, and driving rhythms, their music is danceable one minute and dark the next. TVV has been featured in various publications including The New York Post and Philly Weekly. They plan to release their next album in 2014.

The Weaks

Formed from the ashes of Dangerous Ponies' breakup earlier this year, Evan Bernard and Chris Baglivo front the Philadelphia based musician collective The Weaks. Coming to you live for the very first time with two other ex-Ponies (Mikey Tashjian and Andy Black) in tow, the solid songwriting from Bernard and Baglivo pick up where the multipiece left off, writing quick-to-deliver and succinct songs flavored by various members of Philadelphia's illustrious music community. Poised to release their debut 7" in December of this year, The band has released over twenty singles to date! Expect the occasional pick slide and look for the complete album sometime next spring.

Dollys is a four-piece indie pop, pizza-eating machine whose gears spin to the sounds of sparkly guitars, poppy harmonies, and groovy rhythms. The members find themselves enjoying the wonderful New Jersey daylight inside basements, working on arrangements, finding sounds, and exploring stories that act as a germ for bringing color to people’s eyes and ears. They hope their tunes will stir the bubbly tomato sauce of people’s emotions and pizza alike, and they are always looking for a new place to see and share their music.
