Mycle Wastman

Mycle Wastman

Seattle’s soul-singer, MYCLE WASTMAN, emerged as a stealth frontrunner on season 3 of NBC’s The Voice. Rightly so! He delivers a refreshing combination of an old soulful vibe, R&B sensibilities and a splash of pop. He is a singer’s singer, interpreting from all of the greats that have gone before him while still firmly exerting a style of his own.
On The Voice three judges turned their chairs hoping to have MYCLE on their team after he performed Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together”. Wisely, MYCLE went with Cee Lo Green who said, “You got the whole spectrum, man, you are the total package”.
MYCLE had a rather difficult childhood since both of his parents struggled with addiction. He moved in with his grandparents and his passion for music was instilled in him when his grandmother, who sang background vocals for Frank Sinatra, sang to him as a child.
MYCLE also plays guitar, bass and drums, and he considers himself to be a versatile musician playing everything from Rock to Soul.
Wastman served in the Army, and then later joined the Army Reserves as a chaplain’s assistant at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis. He went back to working construction jobs in Seattle, but soon he knew he had to return to his first love, music. He has released two albums of original material (both of which are on i- tunes):
I’M ALL OVER IT (2011)
MYCLE’S beautiful, soulful voice and haunting lyrics stems from his complex life’s story. He is undeniably on par with the great vocal legends of our time!
