Hailing from The Netherlands, Paul Baümer & Maarten Hoogstraten have fused their musical talent into the massive electronic dance duo Bingo Players. The two dutch DJs have created an international reputation through epic releases and massive touring. Early on, they lit up the #1 spot on the Beatport Charts with a horde of huge tracks including "Devotion," "Touch," "Me (vs. Chocolate Puma)," "Chop," and "Disco Electrique."
The next phase? They set up a label.
In 2010, Bingo Players set up their very own record label, Hysteria. The label was home to their next massive release "Cry (Just A Little)." The track dominated European charts for 22 weeks and racked up over 10 million views on YouTube. Towards the end of 2011, Bingo Players released "Rattle," which owned up to its name, shaking up the Austria Singles Top 75 and Germany Singles Top 100 for nine weeks. "Rattle" has since become one of the biggest club tunes of 2012. This has been a massive year for Hysteria and Bingo Players. Not only did the label release Bingo Players music, but it also showcased talent such as Carl Trick's "Mad Dash," Ralvero's "Rage" and Gregori Klosman's "Minibar."
Along with their recording success, Bingo Players have toured extensively with over 30 worldwide music festivals under their belts including Tomorrowland and Stereosonic. The've also performed key US festivals including Ultra and a primetime slot at Electric Daisy Carnival: Vegas.
Be warned, be prepared, the Bingo Players are coming to RATTLE a venue near you.
On a afternoon somewhere in the beginning of 2007 two friends decided to join forces, one Dj and one producer, both sharing great passion for house music.. Bassjackers was born..!"
Bassjackers aka Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst had not foreseen what was coming when they started out with their collaboration. Marlon was already Dj-ing for a while and Ralph experimented a lot with making different kinds of dance music. Marlon was mainly playing house music at the time and then the idea came to push Ralphs productions in that direction so that Marlon could play the tracks in his sets. The first track they were both satisfied with was "Beat Cut".
"Beat Cut" got picked up by Fedde le Grand and kickstarted their career. What followed was a solid stream of tracks and remixes which were supported by all the top jocks and scored big on the international dance charts, like for example their remix for Dada Life which scored #1 on hypem.com (the international hype machine). The success in the studio was also taken to the clubs and with a packed schedule of 250 gigs a year Bassjackers were definitely established in the dance scene.
Their BIG break came in 2011, their dancefloor bomb "Mush Mush" got picked up by Tiesto and got released on Tiesto's imprint "Musical Freedom". It dominated the Beatport top 10 for over 2 months and grew to be one of the biggest club/festival tracks of 2011. It's that track that every DJ can play to destroy the dance floor, and so they did. Just to namedrop; Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Afrojack, Sander van Doorn, Martin Solveig, Calvin Harris, Benny Benassi, Judge Jules, the list of support is endless..!!
This resulted in a massive career boost! Remixing for A-list artists like Rihanna and Moby, playing in Privilege Ibiza alongside Tiesto and touring around the globe to demolish dance floors is just the beginning… Bassjackers are taking over!
Mackenzie Johnson, better known as MAKJ, uncovered a passion for mixing and DJ'ing at only 15 years of age. While living overseas in China as a professional racecar driver, the teenager grabbed hold of his first set of Technics 1200 Turntables. As he experimented with the new equipment, Johnson also took advantage of the countries in which he was living and travelling, and critically studied the technical nuances and styles set before him in the most popular overseas clubs. No longer would DJ'ing be just a hobby for MAKJ; it soon turned into a thriving career path. As a 17-year-old, Johnson made his way back to the United States with a unique outlook and greater ambition than ever before. The insight Johnson acquired abroad gave him incredible local momentum; Johnson found himself being repeatedly invited to DJ countless local university and community college events and concerts. It was at this age that MAKJ also received priceless DJ'ing tutelage from one of the best in history, the late great DJ AM himself, who skilled MAKJ in the art of scratching over the course of several one-on-one lessons. Honing and perfecting his skills over the past several years, MAKJ has DJ'ed at some of the premier venues in the country including Playhouse, Avalon, Dim Mak Studios and Supperclub in Hollywood, Marquee, TAO, and Tryst in Las Vegas, The Grand in San Francisco, Pacha, Lavo and 1OAK in New York, LIV and Wall in Miami, plus recent shows in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, San Diego, Dallas, El Paso, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas. He also performed at this year's Ultra Music Festival in Miami and performed on the 2011 IDentity Festival in Boston, Washington, and New York. He has played direct support to greats such as Avicii, Armin Van Burren, Steve Aoki, Morgan Page, Wolfgang Gartner Paul Oakenfold, Adrian Lux and more. Johnson's creativity and diversity as an artist have now carried over into the production field and his works have deservingly awarded him much critical acclaim and positive reception. His originals, edits, bootlegs, and remixes have received immense support from renowned artists such as Hardwell, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Fedde Le Grand, R3hab, Chuckie, Avicii, Laidback Luke, Adrian Lux, Swanky Tunes, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and many others. With the support of these greats in his pocket, MAKJ is now thriving in the realm of original production; he has a slew of new tracks slotted for release over the course of 2013, including releases on Hardwell's Revealed label, The Bingo Players' Hysteria Records, Nicky Romero's Protocol, and Robbie Rivera's Juicy Music. He has also released several official remixes on mega-dance label Ultra Records. Additionally MAKJ hosts a weekly radio show on Clear Channel's Evolution channel which can also be heard on 101.7fm in Boston and online via iHeartRadio. At only 22 years of age, Mackenzie Johnson has achieved an almost unfathomable amount of success. His dedication to his craft and ambition to surpass any and all competitors will further propel MAKJ higher than he could ever have imagined.
Often labeled as a music audio geek by friends and colleagues, Carl Tricks has always been about matching his love for computers and programming with his passion for music and production.
From roaming the record stores in the late 90's to his first 2 EP - release with long time friend Marchand in 2006; discovering House music set the ultimate course and direction for Carl as a musician and DJ.
'Mr. Tricks' had plenty of opportunity to shape his personal blend of house and electro, with a reputation of creating incredible drops. He signed records to Sneakerz MUZIK, worked with Bingo Players and Chocolate Puma, mixed various compilations ànd delivered official remixes for Lucien Foort, Prok & Fitch, Melvin Reese, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Nadia Ali, Kid Massive, Bingo Players, Warner/Atlantic recording artist Jaheim, Deepside Deejays and Lockjam.
Promotors recognized the talent and Carl had the honor to play Dance Valley and Sneakerz Festival, while befriended DJ's and radio jocks frequently support one of his records by simply 'posting on his walls'.
From there on Carl made big steps forward. Succesfully releasing 2 tracks - '8090' and '9000' - on Bingo Players label Hysteria Records , remixing Atlantic Recording artist Flo Rida's – Good Feeling and finishing a number of records scheduled for release in 2012.
