Actress/singer Maxine Linehan presents the New York Premiere of her theatrical concert on Monday, October 7 at 7pm, part of The Broadway at Birdland concert series.
In one unique hour of music, Maxine Linehan serves up a story that is, atonce, both achingly personal and extraordinarily universal. Maxine left Ireland twelve years ago to come to America. She, like tens of millions before her, became part of an American Journey. Her storyis OUR story. Using songs that range over a century, and singing in genres asdiverse as country, Broadway, and pop, this is a show for everyone and about us all.

Maxine starred in her first professional production for The Irish Operatic Repertory Company at age 17. Notable roles include Polly in Crazy for You, Nancy in Oliver, Maria in The Sound of Music,Emma in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tell Me On A Sunday, Laura in the American premiere of the award winning Irish play The Mushroom Pickers and The Lead Nurse in the first national touring company of Lincoln Centre’s TONY award winning South Pacific. Most recently Maxine produced and performed the critically acclaimed off-Broadway solo show Brontë; A Portrait of Charlotte which ran for 7 months. In 2009 she created andperformed a nightclub act as a tribute to Petula Clark, which later led to astudio album.
