Jonah's Onelinedrawing featuring Jonah Matranga (Far)

Jonah Matranga is essentially unique. He's somewhere in between Nick Drake, The Clash, Prince and Bjork -- and nothing like any of them. Over the last 20 years, he’s been appreciated by listeners and critics alike for his diverse music -- and his overall
approach to making and sharing it. He's fronted rock bands (Far, Gratitude, New End Original), along with making many solo albums as onelinedrawing and simply under his name.

Jonah has worked with, toured with and influenced artists ranging from The Weakerthans to Frank Turner to Sepultura. He’s been featured on hip-hop records from Fort Minor ('Where'd You Go?) and Lupe Fiasco (The Instrumental), as well as being
featured on releases by Thursday, Deftones and many more bands from all corners of the music world.

Jonah has played as many house shows as he has huge festivals, and he brings the same thing regardless of where he’s playing — honesty, ambitious songwriting, weird wit and an interest in making something new and different every time.

“You may know singer-songwriter Jonah Matranga from his various group projects--Far Gratitude, New End Original and the anagrammatic onelinedrawing — but music made under his own name still sounds as sweet... Matranga may have done his best work while flying solo.”

“A loose, free-roaming approach to songwriting that pushes his music beyond the normal sad-sack singer/songwriter cliches”

“One of music’s most charismatic, tuneful, purist geeks..." -ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

“No Belle & Sebastian, New Pornographers, or Strokes for me last week, but I did see Jonah two nights in a row - he never disappoints (I actually sold my Saturday night Strokes tickets outside Hammerstein Ballroom before heading to Snitch).

“One of the most influential artists out there.” – INTERPUNK.COM
