Great Life is a synth-laced indie pop rock band from Chicago, IL. Formed in 2010 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign by Hannah Newman (vocals/ukulele) , Chris DeBoo (bass) and Marty O'Donnell (drums), Great Life quickly built their signature sound into a debut EP and began opening for national acts such as Caribou, Gold Motel and Chris Bathgate. The band relocated to Chicago in 2011, where they were joined by Zach Long (keys) and Greg Nagy (mandolin/guitar), furthering their evolution into crafting moody pop songs built on unconventional but evocative instrumentation. Great Life is currently at work on their first full length album, to be released in 2013.
