Alla Melnik on bayan, Göran Rygert on bass and Frank Hamilton on guitar, who will play music from all over the world.
You will be listening to lovely Italian music, French musette waltzes, Irish dances (bring your best step dance shoes!) as well as popular Jewish songs (Fiddler On the Roof!). They will be playing American music of Scott Joplin, Django Reinhardt and favorite standards.
The program will include beautiful Russian favorites and virtuoso Ukrainian bayan (button accordion) solos.
You will also hear dance-inciting music from Latin America, cheerful Greek music and great polkas and hambos from Scandinavia.
This group will present a very entertaining, inspiring and varied program.

Alla Melnik is a virtuoso on the bayan (Ukrainian button accordion), who started playing at the age of seven. At the age of sixteen, she attended Leontevich Music college in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, graduating from Kiev University of Arts and Culture in Russia with advanced degrees in concert performance, conducting and musical education. She
interprets world music with virtuosity and musicality, some of which may be familiar to you, scintillating enough to make you want to dance.

Alla and Göran normally appear as "The YellowBlue". The name comes from the fact that the colors of Ukraine's and Sweden's flags both are blue and yellow. (

Göran Rygert from Sweden is an accomplished string bass, contrabass balalaika and ethnic wind instrument player. He is assistant conductor for the Atlanta Balalaika Society. As a practicing professional architect, he brings to his over six-hundred musical compositions and arrangements an elegant sense of structure and form. "Visituder" is Goran's CD, containing melodies that he set to famous Swedish poetry. He is also the founder and leader of the Swedish men's choir, "Vasa Drangar".

Frank Hamilton on guitar, is a legend in folk, international and American music. He was a former member of folk-singing group, "The Weavers". As a house musician for Chicago folk music nightclub, The Gate of Horn, he has accompanied international music stars. He has recorded with Pete Seeger, an album, "Nonesuch". His own CD is "Long Lonesome Home". He was co-founder and education director of the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. He performs locally in a variety of musical styles.
