Growing up in the Bay Area, Lilan sang in her church choir, as well as middle and high school choirs. She was a member of the award winning teen a cappella group 'Til Dawn. She spent a semester abroad studying in France where she sang with the jazz group Bog'Indigo. Upon returning to the states, she founded a directed a middle school girls choir for two years before leaving for Boston. After New York, Lilan returned to her roots in the Bay Area and joined blues band Whiskey Hill, soon after forming the Lilan Kane Blues Band. As a featured performer, Lilan has entertained audiences at several notable Bay Area venues and internationally in France, Mexico, and St. Lucia. Recently, she has been seen fronting the Stax tribute band OTIS and soul band the Droptones. Sticking with her a cappella roots, Lilan is the current alto in Ro Sham Bo, the 2013 Regional Harmony Sweepstakes champions. Currently, Lilan is working on her debut album of original tunes.
