Special Electronic Tuesday ft. Megalodon and Thriftworks w/ London Nebel, Dubvirus, Coult-45 and 2Nutz

Since forming on the streets of San Francisco in 2008, Megalodon, has made quite an impact on the dubstep scene. His technical mixing style and dedication to making tracks with a hint of original the roots of dubstep has helped define his sound and bringing him on multiple American and European tours.

With charting beatport tracks on his belt he's been able to gain DJ support from major players like Skream, Hatcha, Skism, & Borgore to name a few, His tunes can be heard constantly destroying dance floors world wide, with a unique sound that could only be Megalodon.


Berkeley, California based electronic producer Jake Atlas, aka Thriftworks, offers up his own fresh, outsider style weaving eclectic samples and explosive modern bass that is continually pushing boundaries and taking the art of beat crafting to new heights. Garnering much praise from fans and critics alike with his steady stream of new material, Thriftworks is quickly becoming known as one of the finest up and coming experimental producers with his outside of the box sound and unclassifiable style. Thriftworks’ use of deep low-end and wall to wall synths seem to channel something ancient and mysterious, offering up an intoxicating musical high with an invigorating breath of fresh air. These sounds activate the senses, enrapture the mind, move the body and leave audiences begging for more.

London Nebel

Although Donnie Digital & Nasty Fingers have only been shaking up the Dubstep scene since 2010, you can now group them with the most successful artists of the federal republic. After a first little internet hype of their Song 'Nasty Anthem' (released for free through JesusDied4Dubstep) and the following drum step remix by Dorincourt, they were able to acquire loyal fans all across the globe with their free EP "The End Time Pirates".
Additionally, they contributed to the production of Swiss rapper Knackeboul's album 'Moderator', which entered the Swiss Album Charts with a position of 8.
Apart from remixes for the German Multitalent TUA, Die Orsons or Söhne Mannheims, London Nebel entered the Swiss Dance Charts on place 24 with their remix of 'O Sarracino' by Rocco Granata in September 2012, which remained in the top 40 for the 3 following weeks.
They also do sounddesign-examples for Native Instruments, especially with RAZOR, which you can listen to when you visit NI on their website. Their sounddesign skills got proofed by master students at PopAkademie in Mannheim, where London Nebel already offered a workshop.
After their first appearance on the "New Breed Sinners EP" (Sin City), the plans for the year 2014 include an album release on Sin City Recordings, a 5-Track EP on Bassclash Recordings and a 5-Track EP on I.Am.Audio.
With the likes of Skism, Cookie Monsta, N-Type, Hatcha, Eptic, Megalodon and many more as well as tons of songs and sounds forthcoming, London Nebel's impact on the Dubstep scene will undoubtedly be felt in 2014. Quality "Made in Germany".

A fast rising name on the West Coast electronic scene, Dubvirus has been increasingly turning heads and moving bodies with his own meticulously crafted blend of soaring melodies and floor shaking robot-crunk basslines. His productions are highlighted by evocative and diverse melodic arrangements that move people both physically and emotionally. In performance, he routinely enthralls audiences with a seamless blend of varying genres and rhythms, crafting a compelling and mesmerizing sonic experience that unites listeners and keeps them wanting more.

In June 2012, Dubvirus started ‘Resonate,’ a monthly dance event in San Francisco focused on highlighting new talent in bass music. He has been producing for over a decade, and has received training in Music Production and Songwriting from Berklee School of Music. Dubvirus maintains and operates ‘Dubvirus Audio,’ which offers audio services including film scoring, mastering, mixing, and education.

Coming up in the fourth biggest market for dubstep in the world, Coult-45 has been working hard to make a name for himself in Denver, CO as well as the US. He is a widely recognized bass music DJ in Colorado and has been known to rock a party without stopping! Throwing down the newest and hottest dubstep, drum & bass, glitch, and other mid-tempo genres of bass music, his dedication and participation in the scene definitely does not go without notice. Since Coult-45 has begun his DJ career in 2005, he has gained residency at Beta Nightclub, the #1 DJ club in North America. He has also gained residency for Sub.Mission Dubstep, an internationally recognized collective that consistently brings the sounds of Dubstep to Colorado, boasting multiple awards. Whomp Truck, another Denver crew that is known for community involvement and engagement, also winner of "Denver’s Best Monthly Party," is just another one of Coult-45's successful residencies.

Coult-45’s acheivments are just a testament to his wide recognition and ability to engage his audience with some of the newest, hard hitting tracks. Coult-45 has graced the stages of Powellapalooza, Desert Rocks Festival, Ultra’s Official After Party, DEMF, Global Dance Festival, Sonic Bloom, Skylab, Portland's Crown Room and many more.

A large portion of Coult-45's fan base has been built through being an
eight year Burning Man history; it’s rumored that he played his longest DJ set on the playa in 2008, clocking in at nearly 17 hours. Having supported big-name acts such as Datsik, Zeds Dead, Joker, SPL, 12th Planet, Jakes, Supreme, Netsky, High Contrast, Bare, Flux Pavillion & Doctor P, Cookie Monsta, Helicopter Showdown, DZ, & many more, you can be sure that Coult-45 will always bring the right energy at the right time, getting everyone on the same page to create a truly memorable experience.
