Tim William

Tim William is an American pop singer and songwriter. New York born and bred, Tim William began his musical career during the glory days of Electro music, playing such venues as Studio B, The Knitting Factory, and Lit Lounge. During his Downtown foray, Tim William found himself playing shows with the Alternative Hip-Hop duo Kidz in the Hall, leading up to a college tour with the group. It was on this tour that Tim William met Travie McCoy, future mentor and big brother, and went on to play keyboards for Gym Class Heroes on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour, the “I Am Music” Tour with Lil’ Wayne, T-Pain, Keri Hilson and special guests Drake and Nicki Minaj, and the 2009 Starburst Summer Concert Series at Six Flags with The Academy Is…, Boys Like Girls, The Veronicas, and Never Shout Never. In between, Tim William performed with GCH on multiple tours in the states and internationally, at the 2008 VH1 Hip-Hop Honors, and Dj’d the 2008 MtvU Woodie Awards Official After-Party.
As a writer, Tim William has worked across the board with producers such as: Benny Blanco, Bjorn Yttling (Peter Bjorn & John), Peter Wade, Infamous, and Alex Suarez (Cobra Starship).
Sonically, Tim William paints a sensual landscape full of intense energy; his dance/pop music is 80’s influenced, yet devoid of overt sacchrinity. Often compared to Prince and Depeche Mode, this self proclaimed “Dark Romantic” is at ease with his idiosyncrasies, which draws his fans in.
Tim William is featured on Travie McCoy’s debut solo album “Lazarus” (2010) with the song “Critical”, and has been a guest performer with Travie on the “Too Fast for Love” Tour which also featured Cobra Starship and 3Oh!3.
Tim William is set to release his upcoming project “Stuck in Bat Country”
