Word is Out

Word is Out

Outloud Chicago and In Our Words present: Word is Out, a reading series of queers and company telling their stories.

This one's for the fans! On Tuesday September 10th, we will be hearing stories from fans about their favorite characters and stories with the theme Fan Fic. Whether it's a story about fandom or our personal stories based upon popular culture entertainment, writers will put themselves into their favorite stories.

Join us at The Hideout 1354 W Wabansia, doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7pm. $5 admission includes a companion zine with work from show contributors. Hosted by the incredible Captain Awesome who will read his close personal stories about YOU! Remember that time you waited outside his concert for hours for an autograph and he invited you to go on tour with him? Or that time he saved you from that horrific super battle and then took you to a romantic dinner after? Or when he admitted that he reads your blog about him and he's YOUR biggest fan? All this and more.

OutLoud Chicago is a production effort from Adam Guerino to bring queer entertainment to mainstream Chicago. InOurWordsBlog.com is an independent queer activist and literary salon founded in 2011 curated by Patrick Gill and Jessica Neria.
