Jonny Grave is a Bluesman from Washington DC. Growing up in a musical family, Grave was introduced to the sound of American traditional folk music early on. At age fifteen he found himself learning slide guitar techniques from old blues records. The distinc sound that Jonny Grave's music conjures is a resurrection of sorts - The music of R.L. Burnside, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Robert Johnson and Bukka White all find a way into Grave's playing style. His repertoire of sound is made up of new arrangements of older blues and deeply rooted originals.

"After a year of intense travel complicated by illness, the passing of friends, uncertainty and self-doubt, hard-touring Cosmic Americana quartet, Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray emerged from 2013 with an album of rock songs touching on psychedelic tones, blues, country and folk that explores themes of dystopia, powerlessness and apocalypse but also perseverance, sincerity and love. Lean Into The Wind was released on the Chicago-based record label Seven Dead Arson on March 25th. The record, full of rich, three-part harmonies and a broad palette of instrumentation, combines the musical ambition and diversity of Fleetwood Mac tempered with the sun drenched California twang of The Flying Burrito Brothers. Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray's Black Cat performance on June 4th will be the final show on their 3 month, 55-date "honeymoon tour" - as they tied the knot on March 1st and have ben on the road ever since!"his disposal an arsenal of instrumental talents that underscore the duo's unique, honest and compelling storytelling
Sean K. Preston doesn't get gussied up for the show…he wears his cowboy hat, dirty jeans and shitkicker boots everyday. If it sounds like he sings about hard luck, lost love, long journeys, dark secrets, damnation and redemption like he's lived through them…it's because he damn well has.
He's quick with the wise cracks between songs while gulping down whiskey and bantering with the audience…but when the next song starts you better believe he'll be sweating blood to deliver the best performance. It's Blues- Punk -Country, Rock'n'Roll….Amen
