Paper Hill Casket Company, 1974 (Acoustic), Them Damn Hamiltons

Paper Hill Casket Company

Formed in the fall of 2011, Paper Hill Casket Company is an alternative Americana band from New Haven, Connecticut. The members of the six-piece group represent diverse musical backgrounds - including rock, bluegrass, and classical - and the band combines aspects of these genres into a unique sound that is sometimes melodic and lilting, sometimes driving and raucous. On October 20th, Paper Hill Casket Company released their debut album, Undertow, an 11-song record that deals with themes of desperation and renewal.

1974 (Acoustic)

With the release of their debut album, 1974 & The Battle For The Lazer Fortress, the band 1974 made the jump from an unknown local CT band into the public eye. Their release was a full-length sci-fi concept epic, which the Hartford Courant calls "an ambitious effort, in concept and accomplished album from a young band worth watching."
Citing influences such as Yes, The Beatles, Rush, and Jethro Tull, there's no hiding the fact that the band's sound is what the Hartford Advocate refers as "unashamed early prog worship."

Them Damn Hamiltons

Them Damn Hamiltons write and perform original dark indie New England folk with a touch of gypsy swagger and sea chantey stomp. Their influences range from Gillian Welch and Sarah Jarosz to Brown Bird and O’Death.
