Wired 96.5's 96 Cent Show with Iggy Azalea

DJ Bonics is one of the most recognizable names on the Pittsburgh music scene. His mellow demeanor and love for his craft has devoted fans coming back to see him time and time again- not only in Pittsburgh, but outside of the Steel City as well. Born in 1980, Brandon "DJ Bonics" Glova came into this world. He grew up in the Philadelphia area with his family until 1998 when the University of Pittsburgh brought Bonics to Western Pennsylvania.

While always a music fanatic, Bonics fell in love with the art of djing and the music industry while at Pitt. During his time in college Bonics became a household name at area college parties and had his first sample of radio at Pitt's WPTS where he eventually took up roles as program director and station manager. In 2000, Bonics humbly began his radio career as the overnight board operator and promotion assistant with WAMO. In 2004, this experience lead Bonics to a station mixing position with 96.1 KISS and in 2008, he built himself as current Music director, Imaging Director and the station's Afternoon Jock.

In addition to mixing and hosting on 96.1 Kiss, you can find him working the turntables moving the crowds in many PGH hotspots. He also has had his hand in productions to the likes of the Jay Z/ 50 Cent Rock the Mic Tour, Dave Chapelle Comedy Central Tour, The 2006 MLB All-star Party, and Bonics on the Bridge (Regatta event on the Roberto Clemente Bridge), 2008 Pittsburgh Steeler Fashion Show to name a few. Bonics has also spread his skills hosting Spring Break in Panama City Florida, CBA games in Mellon Arena, Pitt and Steeler games at Heinz Field, and many Local Universities musical and cultural events, including PITT, Duquesne,& Slippery Rock. It's been ten years since DJ Bonics stepped up to the turntables and began mixing as a college dj. It is clear that he is destined to follow his musical dreams. Bonics has had the opportunity to work with artists such as ?uest Love, Snoop Dog, Nas, N*E*R*D*, The Whalers, LMFAO, Sean Paul, Lupe Fiasco, DMX, Mars Volta, J-Live, Wiz Khalifa, and the list keeps growing. He also has rock clubs with some of todays leading and upcoming DJ's like Dj Skribble, D-Double, Jay-CEE-OH,E-Rock,and DiscoTech Don't sleep on Bonics. He continues to to keep rocking the burgh and now is expanding his musical horizon. Dj Bonics had recently teamed up with Alabama Native Dj McFly to produce, mix, and blend remixes that recently have been found on popular DJ sites like, DMS, Masspool, and Crack4Dj's. Bonics has also recently has played Superbowl XLIII Weekend in Tampa Bay, rock spots in Brooklyn, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and Venice Beach. He has recently accepted a spot with the Violater All Star Dj's.
