James Montgomery & Friends

Although he continues to record and tour with the ever-popular James Montgomery Band, Mr. Montgomery has found another home with “The Friends”. "These guys came along at a good time for me and over the years it has continued to gel on every level,” comments Montgomery. "Our personal history and musical background is the glue which holds us together on and off stage".

Formed in 2001 in the light of the 9/11 attacks the band gained critical acclaim performing as Nominees for “Best Blues Act of the Year” at the 2003 Boston Music Awards at the Wang Center in Boston. Their performance at Manchester 65 marks the groups 12th Anniversary of giving back to those in need.

Co-founder Pete Hackel who lost family member Paige Farley Hackel on American Flight #11 put it this way “The opportunity to turn the tragedy of September 11th into something positive was paramount with the band. We wanted to carry on Paige’s name as well as honor all those lost, so we've committed our time and energy as a group to help the charitable causes we know Paige would support if she was still alive,”

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Joey Kramer & Tom Hamilton, Doug Flutie, Jon Butcher, Charlie Farren, Joey Molland (Badfinger), Danny Klein (J. Geils Band) and Johnny A are only a few who have been featured with the band. Like they say, you just never know who’s going to show up at a JM & Friends performance!

Don't miss this significant 12-year milestone with special surprise guests from the legendary Boston music scene!
