Dublin rock band the Riptide Movement are renowned for their phenomenal live shows, a regular feature on the Irish, UK & European live music & festival scene, appearing on festivals such as Oxegen and Electric Picnic in Ireland, Glastonbury and the Hyde Park British Summer festival in the UK, the Bennicassim festival in Spain, the Loud and Nasty festival in Hamburg Germany, the Insane Festival in Le Mans France, the Jameson Irish Festival in Prague Czech Republic and the Rendevous festival in Delhi India, to name but a few.

The Riptide Movement have also played sold out shows in Ireland's biggest live venues including Whelans, the Academy main room and the Olympia Theatre Dublin. They have also toured extensively in the UK, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Russia and even India and have also supported many high profile acts including Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi and The Rolling Stones.

The Riptide Movement released debut album 'What about the tip jars' in April 2009 the album charted at number 16 in the official Irish albums chart. Sophomore album 'Keep on keepin' on' was released in April 2012 to rave reviews from the critics, the album charted at number 6 in the official Irish albums chart and picked up 'Best Irish album of 2012' at the ERIC awards in January 2013.

2013 has been a busy year for the Riptide Movement, they have played on Irelands largest tv talk show 'The Late Late show', Ireland's largest live tv music show 'Other Voices', and Irelands largest tv breakfast show 'Ireland am'
The Riptide Movement just finished an extensive nationwide tour of Ireland in May including two dates in the Olympia theatre Dublin, they also played a host of high profile European festivals over the summer including Glastonbury, Bennicassim and supporting the Rolling Stones in Hyde Park.
