Holy City Zoo Stand-Up Comedy Reunion

Holy City Zoo Stand-Up Comedy Reunion

Come back to the days when we all scrunched up in a little cubby hole on Clement Street to watch young comics unleash their outrageous skits and sketches.

Five headliners will be on hand to bring back the madness. We are working on some Holy City Zoo scratch 'n sniff cards to recreate the unmistakable Zoo aroma!

Barry Sobel headlines the event and yes, he will do some more ("I can't do no mo'!") Since leaving SF, Barry has appeared in movies (Larry Crowne, Revenge of the Nerds II, Punch Line), television (Tonight Show, HBO, Jimmy Fallon) and as writer on Saturday Night Live. He even has his own webcast - The 3 Minute Talk Show produced by Tom Hanks.

Will Durst continues to be one of the most sought after political comics on the scene. He is a 5 time Emmy nominee who has told jokes in 14 countries; racked up 7 nominations for Stand-Up of the Year; and his 800+ television appearances which include Letterman, HBO, Showtime, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, the BBC and many more. He continues to performs one-man shows and write a syndicated weekly newspaper column.

Steven Pearl has been compared to a tornado on amphetamines. His high-energy comedy act is both outrageous and hysterically original. Hailed as the quickest wit of the lot at the Zoo he went on to write for Robin Williams. With appearances over the years on "Evening at the Improv" and "Carolines Comedy Hour" Steve continues to tour the U.S., Canada, Australia, and England.

Dan St. Paul has appeared on Comedy Central, FOX, ABC, and NBC. He has opened for such stars as Hall and Oates, Kenny Loggins, Chicago, Natalie Cole, the Beach Boys, and Ringo Starr. His "First Basball Game" is the most requested comedy piece on the syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show reaching over 150 cities across the country. This January he begins a Midwest theatre tour of his new one-man show, "What's Funny After 50".
Larry "Bubbles" Brown epitomizes the sad sack of stand-up. He's logged over 25 televsion shows, including two David Letterman appearances 21 years apart!! He has appeared in movies ( "Birdy" and "The Kiterunner".) He continues to tour clubs in California and Las Vegas and is a frequent opening act for Dana Carvey all over the country. Just when you think things are going to be all right, Larry will remind you, "It's over."
Do not miss this show! We're gonna party like it's 1989!!
