Freedy Johnston - Remaining Tickets Available at Door

Johnston's songs are often praised for their literary quality – and deservedly so – but they also hit you on a gut level. Splitting his time between New York City and Madison, WI, Johnston is currently writing and recording songs for his next album, tentatively titled Neon Repairman. In an age where the internet has greatly diminished the power of radio to dictate artistic success, Johnston is poised for perhaps the most exciting stage of his career.

At this point, though, it isn't about destiny. Johnston fulfilled that a long time ago. Now, it's about joy – both for Johnston and his fans.

North of Nashville

Blending the sound and energy of influences Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard and Bruce Springsteen, North of Nashville delivers a driving and true taste of heartland music. The Country/Americana duo keeps one foot planted in tradition and the other in a wild and lawless territory of American Roots Music. Whether you're a Country fan or not, it's a good bet you've never seen anything like North of Nashville in any direction of Music City.

North of Nashville, from Portland, Maine, is the newest project from Jay Basiner and Andrew Martelle of This Way (their 5 piece alt-country act nominated for “Best Folk, Country and Roots Act” by the 2012 New England Music Awards). Armed with the lean thump and swagger of mid-70's outlaw country, coupled with well-crafted songwriting and a relentless energy, they consistently leave bodies sweat drenched both on and off stage.

In February of this year, 'Live at The Rack', which was recorded at the famed Sugarloaf Mountain venue in December 2012, was released to wide fanfare. Since then, NoN has and will continue to release new studio singles throughout the Summer on their website and iTunes, with the potential for a Fall full-length release.

North of Nashville was named one of "10 Bands to Watch in 2013" in March by the largest Maine newspaper, The Portland Press Herald. Having toured and supported numerous nationally touring acts, the duo is quickly gaining attention in the national circuit of Americana and Country genres and is on pace to perform well over 200 dates this year.

In the past year NoN members have graced many Northeast outdoor stages including KahBang (main stage), Camp Creek, Old Port Festival, LL Bean and Maine State Pier, along with supporting nationally touring acts G. Love & Special Sauce, Lake Street Dive, Churchill, Mason Jennings, Jerrod Niemann, Enter the Haggis, Uncle Kracker, Chatham County Line, Phil Vassar, Max Creek, Moses Atwood, Eric Paslay and Chris Stapleton to name a few.
