Find Your Muse creator E-S Guthrie returns to feature!

Find Your Muse Open Mic

Find Your Muse Open Mic is Charlotte's premier open mic night. Each week we feature a special guest performer from around the region. Come out and see some of the area's best up & coming talent perform their latest original tunes. Always a fun time, hosted by the semi-hilarious Mr. Erik Button. Look forward to the start of a great Monday night at 7:30pm as you are greeted by the rest of our FYM team; Aaaaron at the door, Donniebaseball behind the bar serving up cold ones, and Normal Dennis doing his best at making it all sound great from behind the board. Sign ups are at 7:45, so come out and get your time slot. Participate in The "Bad-Ass" of the Week, and maybe win a $20 gift card.

Eric-Scott Guthrie

eric-scott guthrie is a North Carolina born songwriter with a distinctive voice and a unique guitar style that often hearkens to the roots of folk and rock music, even as his songs push into interesting and unexplored sonic territories. At times extraordinarily cerebral, at other times raw and purely emotional, he toes a line that few performers walk as he spins his yarns of love, life, loss, and discovery into a beautiful tapestry. Unclassifiable, yet undeniably good, his work has carried him through thousands of gigs across this great land of ours with a voice soaring; at times in celebration, at times in desperation. His is a music from the heart and is not without a measure of sadness, yet he wraps it into a package such that, despite whatever hardships detailed, as they unfold all you can do is smile. e-s currently lives in Carrboro, NC where he spends his days repairing solar systems and his nights singing songs. He is also making a record, produced by his good friend Tom Maxwell (of the Squirrel Nut Zippers fame), and he can't wait for you to hear it.
