Bias Tape members include Amal Bisharat (lead singer/guitarist/keyboardist), Blaise Smith (guitarist), Robert Wong (bass), and Michael Russell (drums). Of the musical comparisons made about Bias Tape, those most helpful with classification are: Blondie, U2, Cat Power, Billie Holiday, Coco Rosie, and Feist. Collectively, the band has worked with a wide variety of producer/musicians including Steve Albini (Pixies, PJ Harvey, Nirvana, Will Oldham), Kramer (Luna, Galaxy, 500, Low), Scott Solter, and Desmond Shea. Bias Tape's first full-length CD, "A Part", was recorded at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco with sound engineer Chris von Sneidern. It was released October 23, 2008. The music is moody and sad at times, but it is also upbeat, complex and fun.

Misisipi Mike

"Misisipi" Mike Wolf is a singer/songwriter/band leader currently originally from Mississippi and currently based in San Francisco. He was voted "Best Singer/Songwriter" by readers of the San Francisco Bay Guardian in both 2011 and 2012. His music has been featured on network and cable tv (True Blood, Big Love, Combat Hospital, to name a few) and national and internationally syndicated radio. He has toured the U.S. and Europe many times in multiple bands. He is the founder of The Midnight Gamblers, The Country Mourns, Misisipi Rider, The Bootcuts and The Plain High Drifters.
