Metro-Detroit native Grant Kwiecinski (born May 31st, 1990) better know by his stage name "GRiZ" is an independent American electronic music artist. Begging his career as a classically trained Alto Saxophone and piano player he was attracted to electronic music production at the young age of 14
with a spiked interest in the workings of hip-hop instrumentals and his exposure to IDM (intelligent dance music). Stylistically, GRiZ creates bass infused hip-hop, electro soul, and future funk sounding productions often accompanied by the live performance and recording of his Alto Saxophone and the use of an array of vinyl samples. GRiZ debuted his first full-length album late summer on Sept 4th '12 titled "Mad Liberation" that has garnered him major buzz and exposure worldwide, racking up over 40,000+ downloads within it's first 2 weeks of being released, all organically. 2012 has proven that GRiZ is not a name to forget. With the summer being filled with some huge
festival performances including some notable plays at Electric Forest, Coachella, Movement (Detroit Electronic Music Festival), and Summer Set. He also joined Gramatik for his Digital Freedom tour, as well as some spread-out small headline dates in the mix. Fall 2012 for GRiZ looks to be pretty eventful,
jumping on Big Gigantic and Bassnectar's tours, then off playing a small run of his own intimate headline shows across the nation.
Kill Paris began his journey into music composition at age 16 learning how to play the guitar, which soulfully reflects in his Future Funk style and bass guitar riffs in his music today.
After receiving his recording arts degree in Florida, he moved to Nashville, TN, the heart of Rock/Country in the U.S. and produced for and performed with several Country music bands/singers. But it was his attraction to electronic music composition that led him into the heart of Los Angeles, California where he currently resides today.
In the summer of 2012 he began to receive attention from some well-known EDM blog sites, testifying his undying love to Lana Del Ray, and earning some highly sot after Features from Dubstep.net, and ThisSongIsSick.com, which helped propel his music into the ears of larger masses. His success in the EDM blog-sphere online helped launch his touring carrier in late 2012 and early 2013, where he's spent the majority of his time traveling and performing for venues and festivals in cities all across the country, including Ultra Music Festival Miami.
While juggling his touring career, Kill Paris has managed to release a 9 track EP on Skrillex's record label, Owsla, and individually release several other official remixes for artists such as Nelly Furtado, and No Doubt. His most recent release, a remix of Rudimental's "Feel the Love", charted #1 on Beatport's Top100 GlitchHop tracks, and also charted on the overall Top100 tracks for all genres.
Expect a 2nd EP due to release in fall of 2013.
"I am the thread that accents, not the fabric that overwhelms." Once in a while, true artistry comes along and the world takes notice. Chancellor Warhol is such an artist. Born Antonio Dewayne Boleyjack in Nashville, TN, Chancellor Warhol grew up engulfed in the diverse Nashville sound that shapes his very own music today. Combined with the natural love for fashion and design, he is an artist making his creative mark on the world.
Channeling an electro-rap style that is uniquely his own, Warhol released his first solo album, Japanese Lunchbox in 2010 (Voted Best Rap Album of 2010 by the Nashville Scene). His unconventional sound has earned him a place on stage at 2011's Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Sundance Film Festival, Atlanta's A3C and headlining Next Big Nashville's Soundland music festival. Warhol has also supported a long list of artists, including Questlove, Kid Cudi, G-Side, Wallpaper, and Yelawolf. His music has been featured on several indie films as well as E! Network's Khloe & Lamar, HBO(Less Than Kind), ABC(Charlie's Angels), Fuel TV and the GenArt Film Festival's award winning film, Saeng-il (Birthday) as well as mentions in Rolling Stone and The Examiner .
A dictator of his own art, Chancellor Warhol continues to redefine music genres and produce a matchless sound in his sophomore album, The Silver Factory (which was released September 13th). In 2012, Warhol has released a free mixtape (Playlist for Edie) and will be performing at SXSW, Rites of Spring, and Lollapalooza; he was also selected to be part of the Google Music Magnified Artist program that launched with a performance at the Sundance Film Festival.
