The Hip Abduction

The Hip Abduction is a six-piece afropop rock band from St Petersburg, FL that weaves together Western pop aesthetics with African rhythms and traditions. The band describe themselves as “wanderlust-inspired global pop” and have cited influences such as The Black Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Paul Simon, and Ali Farka Toure. Based out of Orlando, Florida I-Resolution is quickly taking the reggae scene by storm. Their mix of Roots / Dub / Dancehall reggae music combined with their high energy live show has central Florida screaming for more. I-Resolution are led by vocalist Ali Rebel. With a strong musical backround growing up in Jamaica, Rebel's brought true Roots / Dancehall Reggae music to central Florida. His amazing stage presence and conscience lyrics have fans mesmerized.
