PLACES is an American Rock and Soul band based in Denver, CO. Formed in the summer of 2008 in Missoula, MT by the songwriting duo of Tyler Glasgow and Checkers Barker as well as his brothers Branden and Drew. Joined by Jon Hatridge and Devin Welch, PLACES has crafted a dynamic catalog of good old fashioned Americana music. With a sound that is hard to define and a live show that is harder to rival, PLACES has become Denver’t best kept secret.

The band is fueled by honest lyrics and a soulful
delivery, driven by a dynamic rhythm section, and coupled with three
and four part harmonies.

"With echoes of music from the likes of Tom Petty and Counting Crows, Places' latest release offers instant accessibility to a sound rooted in the canon of classic American balladry and songwriting." -A.H. Goldstein, Westword Magazine

"No More Wasted Days", the bands latest release, is the band's proudest collection of songs to date. It was recorded live at The Blasting Room, and produced with the help of Grammy Winner Greg Richling (of the Wallflowers) and engineered/mixed by Bryan Cook (Train, Hanson, Beck).

The band has become known for their inspiring and solid live performances. Glasgow's vocal and guitar work is captivating and raw, the Barker's bring a highly dynamic
and electrifying show with their signature dueling drumset approach to join the grooving rhythm section and intricate vocal work that provides a solid backbone to their movement.

PLACES has become a top live act in a popular and booming Denver music scene while continuously expanding their fan base across the country.
They've had the opportunity to share the stage with The Wallflowers, Allison Krauss and Union Station, Mayer Hawthorne, The Head and the Heart, Thao Nguyen and the Get Down Stay Down, Brett Dennen, Eve 6, Jackie Greene, Great American Taxi, Valencia, Anarbor, Tyler Bryant and Nine Days.

They sold out CD Release shows in both Denver and
Missoula, MT where the band started. They
are continuing to build a following through the online
community and their growing schedule of live dates.
