Angelo Moore of Fishbone

Angelo Moore of Fishbone

Angelo Moore began his career in the early l980s as lead singer, saxophonist, and creative force behind the legendary band, Fishbone.

Moore is an artist in the tradition of innovators such as George Clinton, Sun Ra and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

The alter ego of Angelo Moore is Dr. Madd Vibe. As a solo artist, Dr. Madd Vibe’s wildly energetic and visceral performances range from: vocals, pure spoken word, movement, playing the theremin, various saxophones and drumming.

Dr. Madd Vibe’s work represents an original link between poetry, performance art and music.

“People don’t wanna hear about the wrongs of society. They wanna hear a lotta powder-puff bullshit. It’s not reality. .” So I am exposing the monster!”

The sound: a blazing fusion of rock, punk, funk, ska, reggae, gospel and R&B.

Mr. Moore has taken his spoken word and sound power to stages throughout the world.

"Comprehensive Linkology,” a book of writings and CD,
“The Yin Yang Thang,” a live video recording CD
