Motion City Soundtrack is an American rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 1997. The band consists of founding members Justin Pierre (lead vocals and guitar) and Joshua Cain (lead guitar), along with keyboardist Jesse Johnson, bassist Matthew Taylor, and drummer, percussionist Claudio River. Motion City Soundtrack has released five studio albums and sold almost 600,000 records throughout their career, including over half a million in the United States alone. Their first album I Am the Movie was released in the summer of 2003, and they soon joined Blink-182 on tour throughout Japan and Europe. Two years later their album Commit This to Memory was released and had an increasingly pop-heavy sound. Their next album Even If It Kills me became the band’s highest-charting album to date. Motion City Soundtrack then signed with Columbia Records and recorded My Dinosaur Life in June 2009. Their fifth and newest album Go was released in 2012 on Epitaph.

Bayside formed in the winter of 2000 and developed a quick following with their melodic, moody, guitar-driven emo. They have toured across the United States with bands like the Alkaline Trio, and Taking Back Sunday. The lead singer/rhythm guitarist and founding member Anthony Raneri has been waiting 10 years—since he formed the rock group in Queens, N.Y.—to make an album like Killing Time, which represents a number of firsts for the band named after his hometown. The album is the band's debut for new label Wind-up Records after four releases on Chicago-based indie Victory Records, including Sirens and Condolences (2004), Bayside (2005), The Walking Wounded (2007) and Shudder (2008), steadily growing their following through tireless touring. Recording their latest at Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, N.Y., and Water Music in Hoboken, N.J., with renowned producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, Pixies, Jimmy Eat World), Bayside finally had the time and resources to fulfill their creative vision.

What’s Eating Gilbert

Genre: Alternative
Similar to: New Found Glory, Mixtapes, The Swellers

Hi, my name is Chad Gilbert and this is What's Eating Gilbert. I started writing songs in 2009 for it and released a couple 7" record EPs. Because of my busy schedule, this project was something I could only give limited focus to, but now in 2013 all systems are go! This music is a spin off the 50's & 60's power pop and old country I heard my parents playing around the house when I was growing up! I will be on tour and playing random shows throughout this year.

State Champs

Genre: Alternative, Pop Punk
Similar to: Major Leagues, Handguns, Real Friends

State Champs are a “DIY Pop Punk” band from Albany, NY. They released their debut 7″ titled Overslept on September 11th 2012 on 7″/Digital.  Overslept was engineered by Jay Maas at Getaway Recordings. They have a new album about to drop this October titled The Finer Things. Ourzone Magazine reviews it as, “Pinned as one of the greatest Pop Punk releases this year, State Champs are more than living up to the hype with this refreshingly exciting album co-produced by New Found Glory’s Steve Klein. Opener ‘Elevated’ instantly sets the bar very high for the rest of the record, both musically and lyrically strong, with plenty of opportunities for a raucous live sing-a-long. The rest of the record more than lives up to this high standard, each track being a stand-alone song in its own right.”
