Ben Pagano Band, Wu Li

Ben Pagano Band

Jazz/funk/space pioneers, wacked out keyboards, during which Mr. Pagano may seem transported to another world in order to find the notes, and psychedelic guitar solos will definitely put you in the mood. One part jazz, one part space-rock, one part psychedelic. Pagano's notorious for keeping his audience on their toes and on the edge of their seats as to what sound he'll create next--- and you'll be mentally computing his work like a musical Rubik's cube the whole goddamned train ride home, while still thirsty for more. Will be joined by Nathan Dyer on Guitar, Itamar Tsur on Bass, and Ethan Meyer on drums.

Wu Li’s live show feels a bit like a controlled experiment. Much like the phenomenon of their namesake and the tradition of improvisation itself, you can’t plan for the experience; it’s more of a lightning storm. Their self-titled debut album, more accurate and contained, lets the lightning seep out a bit. Wu Li delivers a clean, honest sound you can get intimate with; it provides the backdrop for a world clamoring to understand itself. It inspires. It uplifts. It makes you move. It makes you think. For those so inclined Wu Li offers lightning itself. Catch it if you can.
