Chinese Man formed in France in 2004 and has since played major festivals around the world with their dynamic sound, mixing hiphop, dub, and various elements of bass music. With a collective that includes four DJs and two MCs, Chinese Man is known for their high energy performances and compelling visuals. Releasing records on their own imprint, Chinese Man Records, the group has been widely successful in Europe. Chinese Man is excited to debut their latest release, Racing With The Sun, stateside with the CD and LP available in July.
Cofounder of Bastard Jazz Recordings, DJ DRM has earned a reputation as a purveyor of music with an eclectic taste that spans from hiphop and bboy breaks to dub and afrobeat, with a bit of house and disco mixed in. As label manager of Bastard Jazz and Nickodemus’ Wonderwheel Recordings, DJ DRM is always searching for the best dance music from around the globe.
As the label head of Brooklyn record label Tuba NYC, Bakir is not only a dubstep producer and DJ, but also looks to support other artists making forwardthinking bass music. As a musician, Bakir has toured with the dubstep band Jazzsteppa as their trumpet player.
DJ, producer, and percussionist DJ Ceiba, a.k.a. Brotha Sean, has not only been a stalwart in the music scene for years, but he has also taught at the DJ/production school Dubspot and composed music for dance productions at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. His musical style includes dub, tropical bass, dubstep, and electro.
