Tanner Walle

Tanner Walle

Singer/songwriter Tanner Walle honed his performance chops in Lawrence, KS, a college town located just 30 miles west of Kansas City. During his tenure, Tanner shared the stage with Wilco, Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles, Neko Case, and Matt Nathanson. It was also in Lawrence where Walle began his recording career, first with his full-length release It Was followed by the sophomore The Future of Tape. After extensive touring in clubs and theaters throughout Kansas and the Midwest, Tanner relocated to New York City in Summer 2007.

Upon arrival in NYC, Tanner continued performing throughout New York and the Northeast. In Spring 2012, and with the help of his dedicated fan base, Tanner held a Kickstarter campaign to acquire the funds necessary to release his third album entitled Shelf Life. For the CD release, Tanner sold out Rockwood Stage 2 while donating 100% of the proceeds to Education Through Music.

Shelf Life represents the hard work and refinement Tanner has cultivated since his move to New York City just six years ago. Throughout the album, Tanner’s glossy vocals drape a clean and progressively folky instrumentation, with stories of love and lust, and the perils of a quarter-life identity. Thus far, Shelf Life has garnered attention throughout the U.S. and Europe, attracting promotional use on NBC's 'Today', MTV, Warner, 20th Century Fox, and Canon.

Most recently, Walle finished shooting Desafinado, a television series to air on BBC America, as well as in Brazil and Portugal, which features Walle and several other artists sharing wine, telling stories and playing songs.

Walle has just finished his fourth studio album, Bodega, to be released Fall 2013. He is currently touring nationally through the rest of 2013.
