Albert Castiglia

Ask Bluesman Albert Castiglia (ka-steel-ya) what it takes to become a good Blues player, he’ll likely say you have to go to the college of the Blues, Chicago! The young, by Blues standards, guitar slinger spent several years in the Windy City honing his craft before returning to his South Florida stomping grounds where today he is an in-demand player who enjoys a large fan base. “Playing in Chicago is just like going to college,” Albert says. “It’s the equivalent of going to Harvard to study law. For me it was the greatest educational experience I could have. I went and played and saw what the Blues is really all about and was exposed to many different styles.”

Given that he's young by blues standards and has a depth and breadth of live, studio and life experience, it is possible Castiglia may yet become a major force behind another blues and blues-rock rebirth.
