Singer Songwriter -Jamie Purnell -

Jamie Purnell, a 10-year veteran of the North Carolina performing songwriter scene, recently relocated to the San Fancisco Bay Area. Jamie’s music transcends folk to blend country, blues, pop-rock, rock-a-billy, Latin jazz, and even gospel in a heady brew he calls, “acoustic music with heart”. Jamie has honed his songwriting craft so that his audiences see themselves in the story songs he writes and come away with a deep connection to the material. Jamie's warm tenor and rich, soothing finger-style guitar riffs augment the emotional message of his songs. His second studio album, WHIPPOORWILL, was released in 2011 and has garnered praise from everyday listerners and music industy vets alike. Jamie has played many stages throughout the Carolinas, including Cat’s Cradle, Casbah, the Festival for the Eno, and the Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He has been featured on NBC-17’s My Carolina Today and the lyrics for his song “The Right Time” were published as an honorable mention in American Songwriter Magazine’s Lyric Contest.
