A Selection Of Facts: Art Reception

Ludwig Wittgenstein wrote, “we make to ourselves pictures of facts.” The pictures are models of reality that we use to make sense of the world. These pictures are right or wrong, true or false. Our understanding of the world is dependent upon the truth of our images and the logic with which we use them to shape our conception of the world.

These are facts as I have seen them. This is the world that exists around me. It is neither definitive nor absolute, but I believe it to be true.

Michael Nathaniel Meyer is a Brooklyn based photographer. Photography provides him with a reason to wander widely and an opportunity to look closely. It allows him a space to examine how lives interconnect, how ideas converge and bounce off of one another, and how the world is changing moment by moment.
