JAZZANOVA DJ SET, Fred Everything (Lazy Days / Local Talk)

JAZZANOVA DJ SET (Jurgen Von Knoblauch)

For more than fifteen years the eclectic collective from Berlin has been busy producing, composing, arranging, remixing, DJing and generally shaping our musical world – in the clubs, on the air, in the studio, live on stage, and with their label Sonar Kollektiv. Their “very fertile musical world” (Time Out New York) “has dominated the jazz-dance and down-tempo scenes for the past few years, both with its own label and with countless remixes” (Phoenix New Times). Spreading their sounds and ideas with inspired DJ sets, Jazzanova’s DJs were among the first DJs from Berlin in demand all around the world. ALEXANDER BARCK, CLAAS BRIELER, and JÜRGEN VON KNOBLAUCH broaden the music’s appeal as DJs, not only on tour through the best clubs and festivals around the world but also on their weekly radio shows on Radio 1 and Funkhaus Europa.

Fred Everything

Fred Everything is a French-Canadian electronic DJ and musician. He is best known for his work in the deep house music genre. Born Frederic Blais, he was brought up in Quebec City where he gained an interest in editing techniques and synthesis from a very young age. He later played in several live bands as well as composing music for theatre. His interest in dance music started with the acid House scene. He was particularly interested in the Warp Records' label releases. Fred Everything began DJing in 1993 when he opened for Sasha at the Montreal Metropolis club night. He moved to Montreal in 1996 after having built up a reputation there. Fred became popular in Europe in 1997 after performing at a Glasgow festival. Two years later, he moved to London for three months to do a European tour whilst doing production for acts Nigel Hayes, Bougie Soliterre and AtJazz. At the end of the 90's he grew even further successful with his remix of 'Life Is Like a Circle' by Derrick Carter.
