The Better Maker
The Better Maker performs earnest lyric driven melodies entrenched in ardent distortion. Forged in the free spirited, innovative sounds of San Francisco the band began releasing single run home recordings in 2006, and has since produced two full-length studio albums: All things are changing; nothing dies.(2009) and Wissenschaft(2012). Organ grinding synthesizer amidst howling guitar mettle with ripe, rich drums and bass create an atmosphere that is raucous and intimately moving. Their new breed of forever-music has been compared to artists such as Jawbreaker, Heavenly, Sonic Youth, Pixies and the Sound.
Hailing from San Francisco, An Isotope formed in 2007. With their debut, Glass Bridges(2011), An Isotope refined an art pop sound that is as immersive and seemingly fraught over as it is downright enjoyable to listen to. Inventive guitar hooks, glacially huge synth, stately piano, and a propulsive rhythm section form the pieces of a dazzling sonic mosaic, a sound indebted to indie rock luminaries, Broken Social Scene, Spoon, and Explosions in the Sky.
Coming from Northern California's Sierra Nevada foothills, Jordan River has been providing his unique style to the area for over a decade. Influenced by the likes of Damien Rice, Mississippi Fred McDowel, Iron and Wine, The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Raconteurs, he transcends genre. His heated lyrics and driving rhythm blend rock, folk, fusion, bluegrass, into a version of Americana that is all its own. Playing with an alternative rock drummer and a jazz/classically trained bassist, his live performances are always entertaining and full of energy.
